Full description
For a lovely relaxing day at sea, spend a full day on this catamaran excursion to the heavenly island of Ile aux Cerfs. Sail within the safety of the largest turquoise lagoon in Mauritius along the historic wild east coast of the island. Your catamaran departs from Pointe Jerome, near the authentic village of Mahebourg and the Marine Park of Blue Bay, which is protected under the International Ramsar Convention. You can snorkel and swim before visiting the Grande Riviere Sud Est waterfall in its beautiful natural setting.  Here, some 18th-century ramparts can still be seen. They were witness to some tough corsair activities and naval skirmishes. In 1810, tis was the scene of the ”Battle of Vieux Grand Port” between the French and the English.  Enjoy a BBQ buffet prepared and served on board by your friendly crew. This consists of the famous smoked marlin mousse, grilled fish, chicken and sausages, rice and potato salads, crudités, freshly baked bread, fresh fruits, and coffee.

The catamaran was big and beautiful, there were about twenty of us (quite a lot). We were able to see dolphins. The crew is very friendly and takes care of you. Small cakes are distributed for breakfast and the lunch (grill) was very correct. Too bad the weather on Ile aux Cerfs was slightly short otherwise it was a very beautiful day! Thanks to the crew!

Beautiful catamaran trip! We snorkeled en route and visited Ile aux Cerfs where we stopped for some relaxation in the sun. Excellent entertainment and the welcome of the guys who pampered us with drinks and lunch on the catamaran: barbecue of meat, fish, fruit and salads, nothing was missing! A special thanks also to Nishal who accompanied us from the hotel to the meeting point and vice versa: very punctual and really hospitable, he made the journey really pleasant.

It was a disappointment. Before we set sail, we ask about the weather and if we can snorkel. We may get an answer to that. And shortly after we sail out, they say we do not snorkel. They knew that from the start. Huge disappointment that we only got 1½ hour on Ile aux Cerfs. It was a long boat trip to get ashore in such a short time. And we should have had more time on the island now that we didn't get to snorkel. The program said that we should be there for 3 hours, therefore it does not make any sense that we were there for such a short time.
