Full description
Join the crew aboard the Calypso, Maui's newest edition to the fleet. Your snorkeling tour begins at the Maalaea harbor, where you'll board your boat for your excursion to Molokini Crater and Turtle Town. Start the day of right with eggs, ham, cinnamon rolls, donuts, coffee, fruit and juice. A comfortable ride, ease of entry in and out of the water, a professional captain and crew and the chance to learn about this slice of Hawaii are just a few of the reasons this tour makes for an ideal day out on the waters of Maui. Located off the south shore of Kihei and rising out of 300 ft (91 m) of water, the extinct volcanic cone of Molokini provides the opportunity to see native Hawaiian marine life like manta rays, fish, urchins and sharks, who swim around the coral through the clear water year round. A marine preserve and bird sanctuary, Molokini is protected, so you can expect pristine conditions. Use the provided snorkeling equipment to explore the underwater world and take advantage of the two water slides for more fun, especially to entertain kids. You can also take a peek at the reef without getting in the water via the glass-bottom viewing room. To ensure safety, a lifeguard is in the water at all times watching over the snorkelers and lending any assistance, if needed. After leaving Molokini, your second snorkeling spot of the day is Turtle Town, where you have the chance to swim with Hawaiian green sea turtles amid the calm water and coral. Then return to the boat for a barbecue lunch buffet of pulled pork and chicken sandwiches, pasta salad and chocolate chip cookies (gluten-free and vegetarian options are available but must be reserved in advance). Last but not least, enjoy a trivia game for the chance to win a crew T-shirt. Some of the top amenities include two slides, a "leap of faith", two freshwater showers, use of quality snorkeling gear, flotation devices, and restrooms are provided on the boat. If you want, you may rent a wetsuit or underwater digital camera at your own expense. SNUBA is also an option. The boat features an easy-to-use stairway in and out of the water, lots of shade and plenty of Jimmy Buffet music, all to entertain you during your day in paradise. Optional pay on-board SNUBA. Available for guests 8 years and up. Certain health restrictions apply. SNUBA allows gets to enjoy the simplicity of snorkeling and also the wonders of breathing underwater. SNUBA is a unique patented shallow water diving system bridging the gap between snorkeling and scuba diving.

We have been on about 6 snorkeling tours in the past and this one was the most enjoyable. The crew were all wonderful. Very knowledgeable. We saw a whale and her cub right out of the harbor. The crater was fantastic. Turtle Bay, we saw at least three turtles swimming around. We swam with some of the prettiest, colorful fish I have seen. Breakfast and lunch were good. Cocktails were served for a mere $2 each. Highly recommend.

So much fun! It was a little hard to find the place (based on the Google maps address) but just drive down to the slip on the dock since there is parking there. Molokini was a little underwhelming but we saw a sea turtle up close at Turtle Town so it was totally worth it!

The most recommendable tour! Both the breakfast buffet and the lunch were quite rich and good. As far as the crew and the execution are concerned, you can exceptionally believe the description on GYG. There was fresh fruit, coffee, various juices, scrambled eggs, sweets for breakfast. The lunch consisted of burgers (to make yourself) and optionally pasta
