We had an amazing time. Derek from Kellie Tours was very patient even when our kayak flipped over 3 times. He made sure to fix the kayak before we returned to the beach. Tim with Hike Maui was also amazing. He gave us a great history of what we saw in the rainforest. He also gave us tips about local places to try

The guides are AMAZING! They are so knowledgeable about the natural, political and cultural history of the land, and they knew the best snorkel spots and waterfall pools to swim in. I was a solo traveler and I felt so welcome throughout. It was my first time kayaking, and they took good care to make sure I felt confident in what to do. The hike was accessible for a range of abilities, but they are not kidding about footwear! You will be fording many streams and traversing slick rocky terrain, so heed the caution! Also, given the lush tree cover and cold fresh water pools, you may want to pack a sweatshirt along with your towel if you plan to swim (and I definitely recommend that you do!) as it can get pretty chilly once you are wet! Whether this is your first time to Maui, or you are a returning traveler, this is not to be missed :)

The day was wonderful. We have described the day as a vacation Maui Iron Man!! Though the day was broken up into two segments, with different providers, we enjoyed every minute. Beach launch the Kayak and paddle to the reef and jump in to swim with the sea turtles was the highlight of our whole trip. The hike/waterfall portion was also great. The provider has access to private sections of the park, giving us time to build the courage to jump. This is a must do for the adventurous traveler.
