Driver Kau Po was a great tour driver. There was a little bit of a miscommunication with the Tour Company stating that my trip has been canceled and also a miscommunication with the pick up location but Kau Po was able to accommodate and was able to pick me up at the confirmed desired location. Speaking with other tourists who had booked with another company/driver there was horror stories with their own experience but our driver was amazing, knowledgeable about local hawaiian history/culture, his own up-brining (fishing tribe), and made many jokes throughout the trip. He was very patient with some of the other tourist's questions and serving answers with a laugh. He took us to many different spots and his favourite spots which were all amazing. Even taking photos for me as I was sitting on the right side of the van. He knew I was a solo-traveler and made the extra effort to make sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. Only one star taken off due to the confirmation.

#TeamDELL made this experience memorable and helped me feel like I caught the essence of the Road to Hana! I loved the stories and how well informed he is about Hana and Maui in general! No questions were off limits! I felt like I had a mini food tour and was able to enjoy Hana snacks during the tour! I appreciated how well he knew the landscape and was able to give us a heads up on photo/video opportunities. I have a photo library with enough photos I was able to share my experience with friends and family! I do recommend to not be consumed with getting the right photos and just be in the moment! It’s an experience you’d want to be fully immersed in! It’s altogether just great being able to enjoy what Hana has to offer without worrying about the drive and being confident that you are in safe hands of someone who understands the road and have driven it frequently! LOVED THE TOUR! I highly recommend it! It was worth the cost, but wished the trip was more affordable!

Rudy is an excellent guide and perhaps more important for the Road to Hana - an expert at navigating hairpin turns and one lane bridges in our surprisingly comfortable van-coach. He delivered a full day of great stops and so much information, from Hawaiian legends and history to explaining the feral chicken mystery!
