Full description
One of the most magnificent places to snorkel on Maui is Molokini Crater, and you can only get there by boat. The Malolo, a 55 foot power catamaran, is a super comfortable ride that has everything you’ll need. All equipment and instructions are provided by the fabulous crew, and there is a $5.00 hot dog and soda available on board.  The Snorkeling is beautiful, and you can happily lose yourself while floating above the reef. You are likely to see parrot fish, yellow tang, cornet fish, and surgeon fish, as well as many others. If you're lucky, visitors can catch a glimpse of a Spotted Eagle Ray cruising through. Digital underwater cameras are available for purchase. If you wear prescription glasses, there are optical masks you can rent to use underwater. If you tend to run cold, there are wet suits for rent and flotation devices galore.  As each day unfolds on Maui, weather and ocean conditions naturally dictate the best snorkel spots. Typically, due to Maui trade winds, this trip snorkels at Coral Gardens unless weather permits reaching Molokini. The experienced captain will decide whether you go to beautiful Molokini Crater or the aptly named “Coral Gardens,” a gorgeous reef off the west side. Coral Gardens is home to all kinds of wonderful marine life too (Coastal Living Magazine rated as a World’s Top Ten Snorkel Site).

Very relaxing and enjoyable activity. Fun crew. Second time we have gone out with this company. The trip we chose started at 1:30 which was great for us because we're not real early risers. We also liked the fact that it was a 3 hour snorkel rather than a full day. It didn't leave us feeling completely exhausted and overcooked in the sun.

The crew was knowledgeable, fun, and got things done. Buy the hotdog, chips, and drinks, if you don't prepay for it, they don't have extra, and after being in the water for an hour, you are hungry! We went to Coral gardens, which was beautiful, but they do make it seem like the Molokini crater is a possibility, it never was. But all in all a great excursion with a great crew, at a great price!

Fun tour. It was really windy, so we went to Coral Gardens instead of Molokini. Our group was inexperienced snorkelers and this tour was perfect for us. Their equipment worked well, the crew (Sese, Jenkins, and the captain) were professional and fun. Get the hotdog, it hit the spot after an hour and a half or so in the water.
