Full description
Travel via high-speed catamaran from Lahaina Harbor to the Maui Channel to see the humpback whales, who return to Hawaii for a few months each year to mate and give birth. Depending on the whales’ behavior during your 2-hour whale watching trip, you may see any number of whale things happen. Keep your eyes peeled for whales slapping the surface with their pectoral fins (their very long side fins), flukes (the tail), or peduncle (the strong muscles attaching the tail to the rest of the body). Keep your fingers crossed for a breach. This is when a whale rises completely out of the water and crashes down again. Don’t forget to bring your camera.

Great all female crew. Captain was very good at spotting the whales. And we had some pretty close encounters by chance as the baby whale came to our boat to check us out. The boat was nice, clean and with reduced capacity to space out groups. so no need to jostle for photography positions. Drinks were so cheap and good. Overall we were very happy with the experience. Very happy with the value of the tours as they are one of the lowest priced tour companies with this size of boat. Definitely would recommend the QuickSilver tour company for whale watching.

We saw so many whales! A full breach, tale slapping, fin slapping, tale up dives, mothers & babies together. It was crazy awesome! & There was plenty of space to feel comfortable socially distant. The staff was so friendly & knowledgeable too. I learned so much about whales which I wasn't expecting. A local on the boat even said it was the best whale watch she'd been on. I would definitely book with them again.

Excellent Experience!

I booked this tour through GetYourGuide and got such a good deal that I wasn't sure what to expect. This turned out to be the best whale watching tour I've taken (I've done it in Alaska and Mexico before). The captain had a great sense of humor and did a fantastic job guiding the boat to where the whales were. We saw several whale "families" and got to witness multiple breaches. A naturalist provided information about the whales and their habits. Other crew members made sure that passengers had plenty to drink (free water and soft drinks, as well as alcoholic beverages at very reasonable prices) and were safe. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and definitely recommend it.
