Tour guide Lenny was amazing! We started by getting picked up and left for a stop to Safeway for bathroom and coffee/snacks! Then got some pastries and fruit from the van for breakfast as we made our way there. Pineapple, strawberries, banana bread! Saw some rainbow trees, lots of waterfalls, black and red sand beaches where we had a bit of time to swim and eat lunch! Lunch was awesome from uncle russels bbq chicken and rice, huge portions! Stopped by some local trucks for banana bread and coconut ice cream! Finally we made our way around Haleakala and to the bee farm and some cool lookouts. Great day with a great guide!

Where to even start! Shuttle arrived on time when picking us up from our condo, our tour guide Charlie kept us so entertained the entire trip with his knowledge of the island and culture, very enthusiastic, fun, witty, and experienced. He kept us satisfied with lots of tropical foods throughout the morning and afternoon including our stop for lunch which was also amazing. Instead of just driving a majority of the way, he stopped at several spots along the road allowing us to really experience the beautiful nature it had to offer. The reviews were 100% correct, it is a very long tour but ENTIRELY worth it. We didn't want it to end.

I'm glad I booked this tour instead of daring to drive the road myself! I was picked up by Charlie, amazing, fun and very nice guide, but we had a different driver for the tour itself. unfortunately I forgot his name (English isn't my first language). the tour was packed ! almost 12h. amazing! I felt in the most wild adventure. I learned a lot about the history and culture of Hawaii and the road itself. many things I wasn't aware of. they are a local company proud of their roots. we had cake, fruit, traditional dried fruits, water, and a delicious traditional lunch. we hit all the major attractions, blank sand beach, waterfalls, amazing views.. so much to say ! the back of the island is amazing. our guide also shared the pain points of native Hawaiians on their own land. he also complained a bit about tourist blocking the roads which was a bit unsettling at moments but I totally understand his frustration.
