Really enjoyed our time at Hobbiton! Well organised, felt like we had a good amount of time to look around and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Plenty of opportunities for photos and good info from the guide. Complimentary drink at the end was a nice touch and a great way to end the experience. Would definitely recommend, whether you're a fan or not!

The setting for all the Hobbit houses and gardens were simply magical. The little video shown on the bus going to the Anderson's farm was great with Peter Jackson talking and music playing from the film. The story of why Peter Jackson wanted to film there, and how it all developed was very interesting. The Dragon Inn was amazing, as was the bridge going over the pond with the water-mill. The detail in things like the Oak tree over Bilbo Baggins house was incredible (hard to believe it wasn't real). So was all the artificial fruit, vegetables and cakes etc. It was so good to see real vegetables and flowers growing in the Hobbit gardens too.

We were made so welcome. We were lucky with the weather which made the whole experience very pleasurable. There were four of us and we all agreed it was better than we had expected. We had expected it to be good but it was more than that. We loved it. My friend and I were taken in the golf cart and that was so wonderful. My friend has a fused ankle so can't walk well and I have a heart issue (heart failure actually) so I cannot walk up even the slightest incline without running out of breath. I feel I have to explain this because neither of us look as though we need the golf cart for people with disabilities but neither of us could have done the tour on foot. I can't tell you how much we appreciated that cart tour. And the man who drove us (Nick?) was wonderful. Hobbiton was bigger than I thought it would be. As a New Zealander I felt very proud that we have this marvelous place to show off. I might even have to see the films now since I never have.
