DAY 2: Spend the full day exploring Masai Mara in search of the Big Five. Enjoy picnic lunches in the Reserve as you scale the Mara beauty and splendor. This day you will go all the way to the river where the wildebeest cross into Mara from Serengeti. All year round there are lots of resident Hippos and crocodiles sited at the banks of Mara river. After the game drive, you will return back to the camp for dinner, merriment and overnight. Dinner and Overnight At Giraffe Hill Camp DAY 3: Maasai Mara to Nairobi Early morning breakfast then check out for your drive back to Nairobi. Enjoy a brief stop at the Maasai Village for cultural encounter on your way- Learn about the Masai community and interact with the local Masai people as you en route out of Maasai Mara. Thereafter commence your drive to Nairobi. A simple complimentary lunch will be provided on the way in a traveler's motel. On arrival you will be dropped at your Nairobi Hotel. Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve At 8:00 AM you will be picked up from your hotel within the Nairobi city center/Westland’s and commence the drive to Maasai Mara via the great Rift Valley view point where you will have a breathtaking view of the floor of the Rift Valley. Here you will see the semi-active Mount Longonot and 2 other dormant volcanic mountains, Mt. Suswa, and Mt Margret for 10 minutes. You will arrive in time for lunch. Check in the hotel. Later at 4:00 PM depart for a 2-hour game viewing drive in the Mara Reserve until 6.00 PM. Return to the camp for a sumptuous buffet dinner ending with a good time for resting at the camp. This is the most important day since we are hoping to see the big five, especially the big cats which are extremely illusive. Also, we will visit the famous Mara River where the great migration happens, have a guided tour by the rangers to see the Nile crocodiles and hippo families and to top it off have a picnic lunch under a tree in the park overlooking the vast landscapes. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures. It is a small park with magnificent, rare white rhinos that form part of the Big Five animals. There is also a possibility to see the pink flamingos. The game drive lasts 3 hours, after which you depart on a 3-hour drive back to Nairobi to arrive at around 3:00 PM. You will be dropped off at the city center/hotel within the city center.

You might have heard about the Maasai people before coming to Kenya. They are found around popular national parks in Kenya. Tourists often visit their villages while on safari. These might not be authentic experiences as most of these villages receive tourists almost on an hourly basis. Some unseen men have turned this into business as anyone would given such hourly opportunities. They have added more huts, recruited more vulnerable people, placed relevant people at strategic positions to say all that tourists want to hear. Unfortunately this has become a tradeoff of their traditions as they have become used to the modern life introduced in these hourly visits. This has also presented exploitation of the vulnerable and innocent persons. Our village tour is an authentic experience. Only our company visits this particular village and our visits are limited to client's booking. This ensures that the Maasais from this village do not get hooked on to tourists' way of life. At the end of the day we leave you to judge the authenticity of this experience. From cooking ugali in a manyatta, beadwork, lighting a fire traditionally, milking a sheep, dancing, singing and jumping, you get to experience the authentic daily life of a Maasai. We pick you up from your hotel and drive for 2.5 hours to the village. An authentic Maasai village can only be found away from the cities. We offer two optional stopovers which also serve as bathroom breaks as there are no toilets at the village. Along the way, you get to see the change in climate, economic activities and lifestyle among the people. If you book the tour on either Monday or Friday, we pass by a livestock market which happens to be the second biggest in Kenya with livestock coming from as far as Tanzania. We also go into one of the makeshift kiosks operated by women serving as restaurants for the livestock traders. We visit the local primary school on request. Before we get to the village, we brief you on all the activities that you perform while at the village. Your guide will be with you in all the activities. After you are done with the activities, the Maasais display some of the handmade items. Buying any of this items is optional. You also get a chance to donate. This is also optional. Our stay in the village lasts 2 hours. After saying our goodbyes, we head back to your hotel. We always stop on request for lunch or bathroom break. While on this tour, feel free to investigate and ask about the exploitation of such vulnerable poor people by tour companies. We show you our payment methodology and tell you our structures to make sure all villagers are remunerated well and equally. The Mara is teeming with creatures such as Masai giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, and topis. In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy another thrilling game drive, venturing through different parts of the reserve. Arrive Nakuru in the late evening. Dinner and overnight at Buraha Zenoni resort Day 4: Nakuru to Amboseli You will have an early breakfast, check out and depart by 7am to straight to Lake Nakuru National park for game drive. It’s a small park with magnificent, rare white rhinos which form part of the Big five animals. Game drive lasts for a minimum of 4 hours. There is also a possibility to see the pink flamingoes. In this park you will also spot the rare endangered Rothschild giraffe. Thereafter, drive to Amboseli National Park with lunch on the way at Naivasha Arrive Amboseli in the evening. You will not go on a game drive because of late arrival in Amboseli. Dinner and overnight at Nyati camp Day 5: Amboseli Full Day Early morning game drive and return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast Full day game drive in the park with packed lunch in search of its popular residents like the well known predators and their opponents. Day 6: Amboseli to Nairobi You will have an early breakfast then check out with all your luggage followed by a short morning game drive en-route off Amboseli and drive to Nairobi. When you arrive you will be dropped off to your hotel or the Airport. This marks the end of the tour.
