From Tel Aviv: Masada & Dead Sea Full Day Tour with Pick Up

Embark on a full-day guided tour from Tel Aviv to the Judean Hills and the shores of the Dead Sea by bus. Visit the ancient palace of Masada, ride a cable car, and admire the Qumran caves on your drive back. Perched on a high plateau, the ancient fortified palace of Masada became a refuge for Zealots who took a stand against the Romans, until the mass suicide of the zealots in 73 AD. The ruins sit precariously on a plateau some 1,300 feet above sea level and measure 2,000-foot long by 1,000-foot wide. They boast extraordinary views of the Dead Sea and the Judean Desert. It is an exhausting climb, but we will ascend by cable car to make life easier. Explore the fortress built by King Herod in around 37 BC. Visit the remains of the palaces and see mosaic floors, Roman baths, and other findings. Masada was also home to the oldest synagogue in Israel, but one of the most remarkable features is the 12 water cisterns, each with a capacity of up to 140,000 cubic feet. Following the tour of Masada, you will drive to the Dead Sea Mineral Beach located in the Jordan Rift Valley, between Jordan and the West Bank. It is the lowest place on earth and its high density of salt makes for a unique experience as you float on the beautiful aquamarine surface. Take a mud bath and benefit from the therapeutic qualities of the natural Dead Sea mud. You will then drive back to Tel Aviv, with an on-route view of the Qumran cave, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.

This tour to Masada & the Dead Sea was really amazing!! My first full day in Israel so was so great to have the drive from Tel Aviv, through Jerusalem & out to the Dead Sea. Our tour guide, Itamar, was our driver as well & he pointed out lots of landmarks & notable points of reference on the way, like the cave where the Dead Sea Scrolls where found, when we were leaving Judah & heading into Benjamin & so much more. Israel is beautiful!! Loved getting to see & learn more about King Herod's palace up at Masada (the cable car ride up was great & the view from the top is amazing)!! Itamar brought us to a really great place for lunch (with one of the best falafel I've ever had!!) & then we went to float in the Dead Sea!! Really incredible experience & the view accross of Jordan was just great!! Am so c very happy my trip could start of with this tour!! It was truly wonderful!! Really well planned & Itamar is such a terrific guide!! Highly recommend!!

I had the opportunity to participate in a tour to the Dead Sea and Masada with Avi, and I could not be happier with the experience. Avi is an exceptional guide, passionate and extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of the region. He made every step of the trip captivating, sharing fascinating anecdotes and answering all of our questions with patience and expertise. The visit to Masada was particularly memorable thanks to his detailed explanations that really brought this historical site to life. Afterwards, the relaxation at the Dead Sea was the perfect way to end the day on a calming note. Avi took care to make sure everyone enjoyed every moment, and his positive energy really made the difference. I highly recommend this tour with Avi to anyone who wants to discover these iconic places in Israel while being accompanied by a passionate and caring guide. Thank you Avi for this j

In Masada, our guide's explanations were interesting. At Ein Gedi, I loved that we had time to walk around this beautiful oasis. At the Dead Sea we were at one of the most beautiful beaches. But the time spent was a little short for swimming and lunch. The driver, very accommodating, dropped us off in Jaffa near our hotel. In short, we really enjoyed this excursion and the services of the guide and driver.

Very exciting and educative really had fan and a good walk for healthy life Tnx Israel I love you God is on your side and you shall prevail

The trip was amazing and very well planned. We had a lovely time 😍
