Great way to see Marseille if youre interested in exploring the coast line/ beaches. We booked a 4 hour window (half day) to rent the ebikes. It was plenty of time to cycle at our ease, stop at the beaches along the way for sea swimming, and even stopped for lunch. Most of the trail we took was on the segrated cycle way, so very safe. Although you do have to have your wits about you for crossing roads etc. You do also have to cycle on the road with the traffic/cars as well, so basic rules of the road are needed. Personally, Im not an advanced cyclist nor athletic but I really enjoyed this experience. Its a fantastic way to get around and see the sights at your own pace. Its disclosed in the ad that there is a security deposit needed for the ebikes. It's a deposit of €300 per bike, that is returned to you when you return the bikes without damage. This may not appeal to everyone. Not great if you are on a budget/ don't have a lot of funds.

A must to see Marseille in 1 day!

Rented e-bike for 4 hours to explore Marseille. Afterwards it turns out to be insufficient and extended for 1 day without problems. If you want to explore all the sights in the city, an E-bike is recommended. Everything is quite far apart to bridge this in 1 day on foot. The E-bike then makes it easier because you don't have to put in a lot of effort, maybe a little bit on the way to Notre Dam. We did downtown in the morning. In the afternoon this is too dangerous (too busy) and because there are no cycle paths themselves. The road along the coast is very pleasant and has cycle paths. We drove for a bit ourselves to the national parc de Calanques, top! To be repeated!
