Minor issues gaining entrance to the boat regarding the e-ticket as they don't have a scanner, so ended up holding the line up a little while trying to retrieve the other message stating how many passengers were in my party and name etc... not much of a problem but one to note. The trip itself was great; dancing, drinking eating and a sunset... which, could have been better but that was out of the hands of the operator and down to mother nature not wishing to bless us with a beautifully coloured sky. Dinner was simple but satisfying and all in all worth the experience. The old port along with the Notre Dame de la Garde lit up against the late evening sky added to the worth of this trip and I would recommend this trip to friends and family should they be in Marseille.
When the captain was explaining or the DJ was notifying of dinner, they spoke in French, despite the fact about half of the passengers were foreigners. We were unable to understand what was happening so it was slightly disappointing. But food was good, nothing fancy but tasty enough. Soft drinks were not included, only water. Enjoyable as we were ones of the first to be on board and were able to pick where we sat.
Everything the Captain and most cruise staff spoke was in French, so we were a bit lost on some of the commands and on a lot of the humor/jokes. I understand that it is in France, but a few commands (and jokes) in English would have be helpful. Overall, still a great experience.
I had a great experience on the sunset cruise, the staff made everyone feel very welcome, especially me as I was travelling alone. They were very thoughtful, making sure I didn’t feel left out. The sunset was incredibly beautiful. There were plenty of food and drinks on offer.
Lovely boat, beautiful sunset and good food. They ran out of plastic wine glasses and beer though Good music and a good night out. A bit pricey for what it is.
