Beautiful hike from the Berber villages all the way up to the highest peak in Northern Africa. The trails were good, although not easy and requires some hiking experience. The way to the summit was very cold because of the wind, but you can rent extra gloves and hat or even jacket in Imlil, which you might need! We slept in a tent in pairs of two, which was actually quite nice as it was warm enough and outside of the masses. Rachid is a well trained guide who kept us going at a steady hiking pace to be able to reach the summit before sunrise. Make sure you tip the guide for their devoted work to keep these tours possible!
Ahmed was a great guide. He helped us when we were in need while we were descending and guided us through. The food along the way was great. Be prepared to have some slippers with you, because at the refuge you will need it while you are eating dinner and breakfast at the refuge. Also make sure to take the necessary clothes as you may be sleeping in a tent near the refuge. We were a group of 8 people and had a faster pace, so make sure to prepare to be in a good shape. If needed, you can ask the guide to slow down and he will take care of you guiding you along the way.
