Abdel was extremely knowledgable and gave us a lot of information about Morocco's history and culture and insights of the locals. We got a lot of personal time to hike in the Atlas Mountains. The meal at the local Berber family home surrounded by mountains was one of the most exhilarating experience. We also enjoyed interacting with the local children and shepherds in the mountains and Abdel was our interpreter. This trip was indeed one of the main highlights of our visit to Marrakech and highly recommend it.

Truly excellent tour with Abdul, who - far beyond being simply a driver - was extremely knowledgeable about Morocco’s history and culture. My friend and I were joined by two other people on the tour, so it felt very personal. Abdul was professional and courteous, and we were also given a lot of freedom over the amount of time we spent walking or stopping. The sights were beautiful, and lunch was fantastic - served on a beautiful veranda looking over a valley at a family’s home. I genuinely cannot recommend this excursion enough.

Start with pickup from your hotel in Marrakech and travel first to the famed Ourika Valley. Visit a local women-run Argan oil cooperative, and learn more about this valuable Moroccan commodity. Continue through the Oukaimden Valley and traverse secluded mountain roads as you pass through traditional Berber villages built from adobe and stones. Discover the authentic life of Berber people and enjoy a delicious lunch in a typical Berber house with an amazing view over Sidi Fares Valley. Travel to the Asni Valley, famous for its apple, walnut, almond, and peach trees. Enjoy the views of the snowy summits of the Atlas Mountains, including Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in Morocco. Pass through the Tahanaout Valley on your return journey to Marrakech, with drop-off back at your accommodation.
