Great tour, excellent value for money. Omar was a fantastic guide: so good that I've written a poem for him, which I will leave at the bottom. Lunches are ~110 MAD/day + ~20MAD per drink. I would bring ~500MAD per person for lunches, tips for guides (~20-50MAD x2) plus an extra 500MAD if you want to do quadbiking. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟, would recommend without hesitation! Over golden dunes and mountains so wide, Morocco shone bright with Omar as our guide. Always so funny, yet thoughtful and keen, Roads felt smoother with him at the wheel, serene.

Embark on an unforgettable 3-day desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga. Admire a desert sunrise and sunset, discover the iconic Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, explore the High Atlas Mountains, and more. Choose between a private or shared tour with standard or luxury camping. Begin the tour with pickup at your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Then, drive toward the stunning Atlas Mountains, taking in the picturesque scenery as you go. Visit Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been a filming location for many a Hollywood movie, and explore the city of Ouarzazate. Spend the night at a hotel in Kelaat Mgouna - Boumaln Dades. On the second day, experience the breathtaking Todra Gorges and immerse yourself in the magical Sahara Desert. Have a go at sandboarding (if available), enjoy a camel ride to witness the mesmerizing sunset, and spend the night in a traditional Berber desert camp in Erg Chebbi. On the final day, marvel at the beautiful desert sunrise on a camel ride before returning to Marrakech for drop-off at your hotel or riad.

Know before you go

  • We’ll confirm the exact pickup time & location one day before your tour, around 3 PM.
  • If your riad is accessible by car, we’ll arrange pickup directly outside. Otherwise, we’ll provide a nearby meeting point within a short walk from your accommodation.
  • Your luggage is welcome and will be securely stored in the van during the desert camping
  • Prepare a small backpack or rucksack for the camel ride and overnight stay at the camp
  • During winter, warm blankets are provided, but it's advisable to bring warm sleeping clothes as temperatures can drop to 0°C.
  • Wet wipes are recommended
  • For the camel ride, it's recommended to wear jeans, trousers, or long shorts for a comfortable trek in the Erg Chebbi dunes
  • Vegetarian and vegan food options are available
