Full description
Start your private adventure in the Mellah, Marrakech's old Jewish quarter. You'll learn about its historical significance and interact with the local sellers as you navigate the spice souk. Soon you'll reach Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the heart of Marrakech. Wander around the stalls, snake charmers, musicians and other artists. Next, visit a local cooperative for women with disabilities where you'll find fabulous hand-stitched clothes made from natural fabrics. Follow your private guide through the winding alleys, admiring places often missed by travelers. After you see the many artisans at work, you'll experience Morocco's warm hospitality and share a fresh cup of tea and a "msemmen" (local pancake) with your guide. Venture deeper into the souks to see even more skilled artisans, including tile and slipper makers, or simply to admire more remarkable carpets, hand-painted ceramics and shelves of brilliantly colored products before finishing your tour back at Jemaa el-Fnaa. Pick up recommendations from your host before setting off on your own back into the hustle and bustle of Marrakech.

Omar was our guide and he was courteous, polite and really friendly. He tailored our tour round the souks to take in some sights we were interested in, not just the main stalls but places where the craftsmen were making their goods......the leather workers, metalworkers etc. Also where the locals buy their provisions and where they live etc. He was very patient with us whilst we took loads of photos and asked loads of questions! He was an excellent guide and we highly recommend him. Thank you Omar!

Such a great way to see parts you wouldn’t normally venture into!

We were 4 women travelling alone and as I had heard the markets could be intimidating we decided to get a guide. From the moment we met our guide he made us feel safe and comfortable. There was a tour planned but we were asked if there was anything we wanted to buy or see and he changed tour for us to go where we wanted. We went into the heart of the markets into courtyards and back streets you would never go to and saw so much of the non tourist areas. So so pleased we got a guide and we are already planning our next trip and will definitely book again

Magic

This excursion on the last day of our stay seemed magical! Thank you to our guide who guided us through this labyrinth to make us discover the traditional workshops and stalls, who told us the story of the Medina and its souk, who patiently let us admire this heritage we can only imagine. We lived an extraordinary moment! An oral heritage to save! Thanks thanks thanks !
