Full description

The tour begins with pickup from your accommodation and heads to the enchanting and picturesque Jardin Majorelle, a botanical garden formerly owned by Yves Saint Laurent.

Stroll through the luscious trees and exotic plants of this magical oasis, admiring the view of water lilies and lotus flowers that float in the ponds.

Continue the tour to the New City next, which was built by French settlers in the early 1900s. Today it is a busy hub of international brands and trendy cafés, as well as "the Champs Elysées of Marrakech".

Later, visit the exquisite Bahia Palace to admire the fine Moorish architecture and gorgeous ceramic tiles. From here, stroll through the Jewish Quarter where you can get a better understanding of the important role of the Jewish culture and community in developing the unique identity of Marrakech.

Arrive at the stunning Moulay El Yazid Mosque then see the Bab Agnaou, one of the 19 gates of Marrakech and the main entrance to the Royal Kasbah. Finally, wander through the fascinating labyrinths of the city's most vibrant and colorful open-air marketplace.

Wander through bazaars full of charm and character, stalls packed with mysterious potions, colorful piles of spices, exquisite rugs, and much more. The combination of sounds, sights, and smells is enough to leave even the most hardened of travelers feeling completely mesmerized.

It was good and a treat to have a personal guide. I'm not a big tour person, but I found this worthwhile in Marrakech. The market tour was great - it really helps you get your bearings, so I would recommend doing it on the first day. I could've done without stopping at the mosque, and just chatted about it in the car (can't go in anyway) as I probably would've liked to be at the garden longer (although maybe not if it were busier!)

Youssef is one of the best guides we’ve ever had. He’s an incredibly knowledgeable native, spoke English very well, and clearly loves his country. It seemed like he had friends around every street corner across the city — it was impressive! We hit the highlights and got a great base understanding of Marrakech culture, architecture, and history. Skipping the line at the garden was clutch.

The best way to see the highlights of Marrakech in a short time and learn a lot about the city, culture and religion. Our guide was just wonderful. He gave us a lot of insight information and showed us things we would never have found on our own like the wood oven under an old hammam or a local bakery.
