The Benefits of Pottery Between you and the material you work with, there are only a few small tools—your hands being the primary ones, directly shaping the clay. Program Demonstration: Maximum 15 minutes Hands-on modeling: Create a cup, trinket dish, sculpture, or try wheel throwing with the pottery machine. Take your pieces home: After the session, you can take your creations with you in a practical bag. Let them dry at home for a day, then paint them once they have hardened. Firing option: If you are staying in Marrakech for at least six days after the workshop, you can have your pieces fired. Important: A piece containing water inside will explode in the kiln, which is why the drying period of six days is necessary before firing.
