A great way to see the authentic face of Morocco with a competent driver, Mosef, on the occasional hectic road through Ourika Valley. People, scooters, cars and the occasional truck loaded with gas cylinders crowd the narrow road that winds its way between the mountain and the Ourika river. The valley starts in perfect fashion with a visit to a berber family’s house, where we get a great glimpse into how such a tight knit microcosm is organised. Mosef, doubling down as a guide and a translator, helped us interact with the family and with patience answered all our questions. After a short lunch we got to meet our next guide, Mustapha and travel to the first three waterfalls and what an experience that was! Imagine a mountain climb littered with shops and terraces. Patient with the kids, leaving nobody behind, jumping like a mountain goat from the beginning of the line to the end, taking pictures of the group at every scenery we found fancy, translating and explaining local traditions
