Full description
Leave the hustle and bustle of Marrakech behind and go on a half-day adventure. According to legend, this area was the site of a military camp, where, in the evenings, soldiers ate dates that had been carried from the pre-Saharan oases. The discarded pits fell into holes left by lances that had been thrust in the ground and so the palm groves of Marrakech were planted. Donning your "cheich" (protective turban veil), you and your new camel friend will trek safely through the palm groves past villas, luxury properties and Berber homes. Sit back with a refreshing glass of mint tea at the home of one of the local Berber families before heading back to the city.

We had a great time on our camel ride! A taxi picked us up next to our Riad at 9:00 a.m., and brought us back to the same place once it was over (around 11:00 a.m.). We were in traditional outfits, and with a very nice guide, who made us small dromedaries woven with palm leaves. The 1 hour ride was enough, we were able to go around the palm grove, take pictures and enjoy. The ride ended with a Moroccan tea. I recommend !

A really good trip. Picked up on time from our hotel in Marrakech Medina, and only a 10/15 minute trip to the palm grove to meet the camels. A warm welcome from our host, Mohammed (& his cousin) who took photos of us with the camels, dressed us in traditional Berber clothing and then took us on a decent camel ride through the palm groves. Not the most salubrious surroundings but very peaceful and enjoyable. Mohammed even made a little woven camel out of some palm leaves for my wife - a very nice touch. After returning to the start point we were welcomed back with some sweet tea and had a pleasant chat with the team before a trip back to the hotel. Overall a very enjoyable couple of hours, well worth the price. Would certainly recommend to others.

Was very nice, the camels are nice and tall. We wore traditional clothing. The guide was very friendly. Only point is that I was expecting to conduct my own camel, and they tie one camel to the other one, and one guide in front leads all of them. maybe if we could try the camels alone or with someone together on the camel back (for security) would be more interesting. Like camel run, or something.
