Abdul was an excellent guide, he knew everyone along the way throughout the Medina and had great connections in the community to be able to show us special local things like the community bakery, the Hannam fires, and fun and entertaining traders. There was no pressure to buy at any point, and we covered lots of the areas we wouldn’t have been able to find and talked to artisans making goods that we would not have been able to find other than through Abdul’s contacts and friendships. Our kids really enjoyed it as they had sometimes been a little intimidated by the busy-ness of the markets and traders, but they felt comfortable with Abdul.
