Let's call this what it is... it is a safe, semi-private way to get to the beach instead of the bus. For ~$20, it is a good deal. The pickup time was communicated the day before and was on schedule. There are 2 stops along the way, both optional... the "goat tree" - fascinating to see and right on the side of the highway, and an argan oil co-op (we passed on this). You get dropped off right at one of the gates to town and unless you opt for a private tour (not sure by whom but it is given to you as an option upon arrival), you fend for yourself for a few hours. Our driver was just that - a driver - so I didn't have much to go on and was glad to have met another solo traveler in the van to bum around with otherwise as a single female traveler, I wish I would have read up more on the town and what to do. In hindsight, I would have passed on this experience as I live on the ocean myself back home but for some, this would be great!

A very professionally managed trip. Travelled in a comfortable mini van to Essaouira from Marrakesh. I was collected at 8am and two other joined the tour. Our guide was Ahmed and he was so personable, knowledgeable and courteous, Ahmed’s local knowledge and tips was incredibly beneficial and useful. He took really good care of us and ensured we had an excellent experience. The landscape throughout the journey was spectacular and enroute we stopped with the goats in the Argan trees and also at Women’s Co-operative that educated and informed us about how the argan oil is created and what products it is used in and the benefits of it’s nutrients. Essaouira is a beautiful Coastal town and it was very enjoyable and relaxing to spend time in such a quaint place close to the sea.

It was a worthy trip! Our driver was careful. We had s very calm and relaxing road trip with a well-prepared playlist. During the trip Aymane gave us information about culture and history of Morocco. We stopped to see goats “climb” in one tree! I personally didn’t fancy the moment but after Aymane exploration I enjoyed playing with a little baby goat that was On the ground. We also stopped in an argan oil, very interesting. When we arrived in Essaouira, our driver gave us some tips to get lost in the coastal city and enjoy our time. After all, our driver took us back to Marrakech and left us safe at the Riad.
