Excellent trip from Marrakesh to Essauira and back. Our driver picked us ip in our Riad and after looking for other passengers we drove to the coastal city, stopping in an Argan Cooperative. We enjoyed the city for 4 hours and we did our return back. Only thing that could be improved is that we dropped off the passengers that lived farthest from everyone else having a 40 minute “detour”. It would’ve been nice to drop everyone else first as we were all in the old Medina.

This is not a tour, it is just transport to essaouira, with a stop on the way for coffee and snacks. The driver was very nice and helpful, with recommendations for food and sights in the city, and also very helpful to some other guests who couldn’t find the pickup location and he went to go find them when they were lost in Marrakech! You get about 4 hours in Essaouira which is enough, the city is not that big. Amazing experience and really nice to get out of the craziness of Marrakech to the chilled out beach city, eating fish and relaxing on the sand!

Discover Essaouira on this day trip. Explore the port city's breathtaking sights and streets, and see local markets and jewelers. Depart Marrakech in the morning and head to beautiful Essaouira on the Atlantic Coast. Once you arrive at the port city, formerly known as Mogador, you will have free time to enjoy the charming sights of Essaouira. Take pictures of its ocher-colored walls, the beautiful and vibrant Moulay El Hassan square, the markets also known as souks, as well as the little streets of the city's old Medina. Then, enjoy a lunch of fresh fish in a local restaurant. During your trip, you'll also visit an association of Berber women producing argan oil, see the local markets, and wow at the gems in the jeweler's quarter.

As part of a group of six, I had a marvellous experience in Essaouira, enjoying the medina, the city walls and the laid back vibe. Unfortunately the weather was pretty dreadful for the second half of our visit so we didn’t get to the beach. The brief stop at the Argan oil cooperative was good, as prices were lower than in Marrakesh. The transportation was first class, with pick up on time and a friendly and efficient driver.
