The trip was well organized. Our driver was friendly and communicated with us clearly. The local guide was knowledgeable. I only wish we could have more free time exploring Essaouira. Also, be prepared for the long drive between Marrakech and Essaouira.

Essaouira itself was a lovely seaside town. However, it should be strictly advertised that an additional two hours are added to the transportation time due to picking up and dropping off other passengers. We were picked up at 7.40am and dropped off after 8pm as the last passengers, and it was a tiring journey. You can opt in or out of the tour and it's important to note that you won't always see the goats on the trees - we didn't get to see them. This is not guaranteed.

Overall a wonderful day trip, stopped by an argan oil store where we watched the manufacturing process, and had time to buy some souvenirs. At Essaouira, after a tour of the old medina we had plenty of free time (a few hours) to explore and shop by ourselves before heading back. The guide recommended a restaurant but you're free to eat elsewhere too. There was a bit of delay in starting the day (about 20min wait at pick up point) and lunch was a bit late (around 1:30pm), so maybe bring some snacks. But other than that I enjoyed the experience, would recommend!!
