A very nice trip among the route to reach Essaouira. We had a very handsome and smiling driver on board appreciating the two steps on the way: An argan factory A goats treehouse Until a bus stop for a break in a bar shop Comfortable roads instead many other places in this part of Morocco. Se you soon. Inshalla

Comparing to other experiencies in the North and South, this one had the best roads, less bumpy and curvy, which made the 3h long trip more bearable. When we arrived at the location, we were introduced to a guide. We had given the option to either follow him for 1:30 hours or leave and go with our lifes. After 10 minutes of hearing what he has to say, we decided to move away from the group and be on our own. The medina is not too big but is enjoyable. We got around 4 hours before we needed to return back to the bus. Tips: - Bring a jacket or a scarf, the area is very windy and very different from Marrakesh for example. - If you dont find the guide interesting, leave and go discover the medina by yourself, its pretty easy. - Try to bring money since all ATMs in the area charge a fee of around 20 to 35 DH to withdraw money. - We recomend Adwak restaurant, awersome tagine and affordable menus.

Excellent trip away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. Mohammed Ben was an excellent guide/driver. We felt safe on the drive to Essaouira - 4 hours in total- including a rest break, Argon Oil co-operative and ‘goats in trees’. He answered all our questions on route. The guide at Essaouira was very interesting. The tour lasted 1.5 hours but you could drop out at any point. It took slightly longer as he had to translate into 4 languages (impressive in itself). The total time in Essaouira was 4 hours and the journey back took another 3 hours with a rest stop half way. The whole atmosphere in Essaouira was much more relaxed than Marrakesh. Would thoroughly recommend despite the long journey.
