Moroccan cuisine is among the most exquisite in the world and on your Marrakech vacation you will probably have enjoyed some delicious tagines, caught the rich aroma of multiple spices, and discovered fantastic flavorings in salads and sides. Now, you can take it a step further and learn how to cook these delectable dishes to try out when you get home. The 6-hour excursion offers a complete immersion in Moroccan home cooking. In a lovely countryside setting, you will learn how to cook a traditional meal and how to mix fabulous Moroccan drinks. At the end of the day, you will get to taste the fruits of your labor. After a morning pick-up from your chosen Marrakech location, you will be driven to the farm a few miles from the city center. Here the delightful Moroccan cook, Nezha, will teach you all you need to know. The main meal in her cookery program changes according to the day of the week, but she will introduce you to an array of aromas and equipment, such as the conical pots that are used to prepare traditional tagines. The easy-to-follow course, on specially prepared and individual workstations, will be fun and educational. After you have prepared your meal, including breads, salads and desserts, it is time to enjoy the results on the terrace, set among olive, lemon and orange groves. If the weather is too hot, you can relax in the comfort of the air-conditioned indoor dining area.

    The cooking class was the highlight of our trip. We really enjoyed the day with Michel and Ilhame who were welcoming and knowledgeable and fun! While making the meal, we were given nibbles and drinks so we were never hungry or thirsty! I was feeling a little under the weather and llhame made me different nourishing drinks to soothe my throat! The tagine, salads, bread, msemen were all very tasty and we enjoyed eating it outside under the olive trees. I would really recommend this class over any other class in Marrakech!

    Great fun, definitely turn up hungry as you will be stuffed after! The only thing that could have made it even better would have been a nice cold beer after slaving away in the kitchen! Even if Moroccan food isn't your favourite it's worth doing this just to learn about the spices and how to combine them.

    Loved the food, learned so much and overall a perfect day

    The cookery class was perfect from start to finish. I was picked up on time and dropped off according to the time provided. I made a fish tagine that was so tasty and perfectly suited to my taste. During the class, we also learned to make two different types of bread, salads and had tasty treats throughout the class. It was well organized, well run in a beautiful setting by Michel and Ilham. I think its a perfect way to spend the day in Marrakech!
