What People Are Saying About Marrakech
The tour was very good except for when we got to the Camel trekking. The people could not communicate well in English or French. The organization was not clear.
Itinerary: 3 days; Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou kasbah - Todra Gorge - Erg Chebbi camel trek (sunset and sunrise) - Marrakech. Great places and amazing views. Tour well organized with reliable driver, food good enough. Climate really cold, especially in the desert so another warmer period during the year would be preferred.
We had a blast riding the camel for about an hour around the palmerai, which is not as cool as the desert because it's basically a palm grove surrounded by walls. But we got to put on some traditional dress and our guide who walked the camel the whole way stopped periodically to take pictures. Then we were driven for about 25 mins to another village and we rode quads around the desert for 1.5 hours stopping for tea at a cool house in a small Berber village, and for a picture. That was a blast although for experienced riders, you'll be told to keep it chill and stay single file behind the guide. But he went pretty quick so I still had a blast
Abraham was a friendly, kind and caring private knowledgable guide and a host loved by the locals. He made us feel welcomed and the day go really quickly! Walking is not quite our hobby but he made the 3 hours walking local adventure experience really enjoyable! We also received a Tajine as a farewell gift, which we will cherish. This tour was not about siteseeing of historical or famous places but it was more of blending with the local Berbers and adventures in to the villages and towns of Atlas Mountains. Not quite what we originally expected but it turned out to be one of the best unique experience! THANK YOU!
Just got back from Morroco today, here's my review in the form of a list. I'm feeling sleepy. These guys are good at what they do because, 1. The price of the camel ride activity was value for money. 2. The price included a pick up from a location minutes from our Riad/traditional Moroccan home. Plus return. 3. The camel ride was relaxing and very funny, as you do riding on a weird looking animal. I love the way they walk. We took lots of photos/videos 4. We had mint tea in the desert served by a very hospitable host. 5. Camel handlers were very friendly and experienced professionals. 6. Great reception at the activity centre. 7. These guys took a few gratis pictures of me while on the camel. 8. Health and safety.
