Ephesus Full-Day Sightseeing Tour From Marmaris

1. Ephesus Full-Day Sightseeing Tour From Marmaris

Explore the legendary remains of Ephesus on this full-day sightseeing tour from Marmaris, including round-trip transfers from your hotel. Start your journey through history at the House of the Virgin. It is recorded that St. John brought the Virgin Mary to Ephesus after the death of Christ, and that she spent her last days in the small house on Mount Bulbuldagi (Koressos). Now a popular pilgrim site for Christians and Muslims, the house has received the official sanction of the Vatican. Next, explore the striking ruins of Ephesus. One of the most breathtaking sites is the remains of the Odeon Theatre, a semi-circular structure with a capacity for up to 1,400 spectators. See the Pollio Fountain, decorated with stunning works of ancient Roman art and statues carved into marble slabs. Go to the Gate of Heracles and admire the reliefs of Heracles built into the gate tower, and the second level reliefs of Heracles wrapped in a Nemea lion skin. Along the way, you will stop at the Temple of Hadrian and Ephesus Library. Completed by the Romans in 117AD, the Library is perhaps the most awe-inspiring façade still standing, with columns, statues and windows towering above you.

Here you can visit an ancient Roman amphitheater, the historical museum which was formerly a Turkish bath, the ancient Cleopatra swimming pool, the monumental tomb of Saint Philippe, and the most magnificent Necropolis of Anatolia.

The destination is worth the trip is beautiful, the shuttle pick-up at the hotel on time accompanied me to the point where they passed to pick me up with the big bus, two guides available both English and Russian explained very well all the historical geographical part of the places we went to visit, all very well organized both stops and lunch

Although the pick up was a bit late, i thouroughly enjoyed the tour: Other than meal stlops and another rest stop, we only and one “stop” at a ceramics place which was interesting so that was okay. Generally I don’t like stopping at shops and other places and rather spend more time at the destination.

Everything was great, thanks - a good guide, a neat bus driver, all program activities were completed. But! We asked for a Russian group!!! From the information in Russian there was only "good morning!" We were not the only ones on the bus. Google to help us, in short

Beautiful locations to visit and swim in the Aegean. Helpful staff. The Cleopatra island is an extra nominal charge, and worth the exploration and experience.

Amazing tour n guider was there must try I hated the lunch and breakfast served
