From SF: Yosemite Day Trip with Giant Sequoias Hike & Pickup

Begin your Yosemite National Park day tour by getting picked up at select San Francisco hotels. Cross the Bay Bridge and drive through the Central Valley to the town of Oakdale where you will stop for a short break. Start your day in the park at Tunnel View. Then, go to Bridalveil Falls for a quick walk to the base of the roaring waterfall. Next, proceed onto Half Dome and Yosemite Falls. After, enjoy some free time where you will get a chance to picnic at the base of Yosemite Falls, by a river, or in a granite-enclosed meadow. Chances are high that you will see rock climbers in the spring or fall, bears in the summer, and spectacular ice formations in the winter. After regrouping, head to El Capitan, the center of the rock climbing universe. Depending on the season, you may see some climbers on the rock, but they will appear smaller than ants on the 3000-foot (914 meters) rock. Enjoy a photo stop at Valley View and then head to the Tuolumne Grove to take a one-mile (1.6 km) hike to see a grove of 1500-year-old giant sequoia trees. Please note that the hike to the sequoias may not be available during the snow season. After the hike, head back to San Francisco with a restroom stop along the way.

Overall rating

It was a very good plan, we went with my family, 4 adults and 1 child. You have stops for breakfast, time to eat in Yosemite Park where you can find restaurants, shops, etc., and dinner. You need to have a knowledge of the language to take advantage of the tour since we couldn't connect to the audio. Apart from all that, it was very quiet, beautiful, and relaxing.

Our tour guide, Steven, exhibited a profound understanding of the subject matter and maintained an approachable demeanor throughout the tour. His evident passion for his profession and Yosemite National Park was truly remarkable and very easily seen as a visitor to the park. I highly recommend his tour services to anyone seeking an enriching and enjoyable experience.

Yosemite was breathtaking and Viktor was an amazing guide. He is a passionate, enthusiast human being, that will share lots of information and histories during the visit. We were treated as a real family since the very first moment, it was even sad to say goodbye at the end! We couldn’t be happier with our decision to take this tour, 100% recommended.

Phil was outstanding. One of the best tours I‘ve ever made. He was very knowledge and had a good mood all day long. I can only recommend it

Thank you so much Debi , you did a wonderful job being my guide!
