Overall rating
A great way to finish our trip to Hungary. My wife and I did a lot of walking across the three days we were in Budapest. Therefore, we had retired to bed long before the beautiful lights had come out on previous nights. The buildings, especially the Hungarian Parliament, were stunning all lit up at night. Somehow they looked even bigger from the water too. We managed to get a seat upstairs near the side. However, the views weee incredible even if you were sat centrally. The drink was really nice. We tried to savour it as long as possible. Would not have said no to another. The location spot was not the easiest to find- this would be my only qualm. Thankfully, the big queue was an excellent giveaway. Do not get stressed if you see a big line, you will still get a seat. We were half an hour early and there were lots of people there before us. It did not bother us but it might be worth noting that the trip is more like 45 minutes with fifteen saves for getting on and off.
The Hop on Hop off bus is th3 perfect way to see everything you wants. We jumped on at the Margit Bridge and rode the route one full time to decide which stops we wanted to see. I was pleasantly that not we were able to not only use this bus but the other Big Bus line as well. It was very convenient. We purchased the tour with 'extras' but didn't take advantage of those not because we couldn't but there was just too much to see. I think this is a great value.
Seeing Budapest lit up in all her glory was fabulous. The tour guides weren't actually a part of the cruise and there wasn't any description of the sites but the beauty outweighed all that. We did the 9 pm tour and it was COLD, so dress warm. Overall a great experience.
The cruise was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful
Our guide was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to listen to
