Visiting this centuries-old well in Orvieto will open up the history of the ancient inhabitants' ways of life, from their Etruscan beginnings, through the Middle Ages, to the Renaissance and beyond. The underground cave complex consists of nine caverns for you to explore. You’ll find countless Etruscan, medieval, and Renaissance artifacts preserved by the underground complex running beneath the medieval streets of the Cava neighborhood.  Start at the oldest part of the Pozzo della Cava, with its cistern lined with cocciopesto plaster, where you’ll discover artifacts such as ancient Etruscan burial remains. Next, descend into the hypogeum maze of Urbs Vetus (Orvieto’s medieval name) to discover the intricacies of the houses’ three-story basements.  The final part of the complex displays developments from the Renaissance, when the most recent parts of the Pozzo della Cava were excavated. Marvel at the impressive final cave, which preserves traces of the transformations carried out over a period of twenty-eight centuries.

You will have the opportunity to rent a brand new boat for exclusive use with skipper both for half a day and for the whole day. Starting from the port of Vieste it will be possible to admire the islet of S. Eufemia, the peninsula of San Francesco, the monolith of Pizzomunno (it owes its name to the legend of the fisherman Pizzommunno and his beloved mermaid Cristalda), the Scialara beach, the of Portonuovo (with fine sand and shallow seabed), the Arco di San Felice (where the entrance to the small Campana cave is visible), Testa del Gargano. Along the crossing you can admire high white cliffs overlooking the sea with brooms, rockroses and pines that jut out over the blue waters and the suggestive beaches such as the bay of San Felice in sand, the bay of Campi, the bay of Porto Greco, the bay of Pugnochiuso, cala della Pergola, bay of Vignanotica and bay of Zagare in gravel. A splendid opportunity to experience the clear sea of the Gargano and/or for a trip along the south coast where you can admire the beautiful bays and the marvelous sea caves with a swim stop.

Your journey will stretch along Assisi Old Town. The local guide will make you plunge into Assisi's history by following the steps of personages who made the town famous worldwide: Saint Francis and Saint Clare along with other great personages of history, left marks that all still clearly visible today. Discover how Roman remains blend perfectly with Medieval architectures, as it happens with the facade of the Church of Santa Maria sopra Minerva. Sense the powerful sacred aura Assisi is enveloped in, thanks to an intriguing narration.

Experience the priceless feeling of being the first on the beach of Portonovo, of paddling with the colors of dawn in a calm sea, and also the satisfaction of reaching the very famous beach of Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle by canoe. Admire on the way the Scoglio della Vela and Spiagga dei Gabbiani, two wonders of the Adriatic coast, as well as other beaches and coves in the area from a different perspective. Once at the beach, snorkel in the clear waters of the Conero Riviera or simply take a relaxing swim, and then enjoy the warmth of the first light of the sun. Have a day to remember, and take home souvenir canoe photos against the beautiful backdrop of the sunrise. Once the tour is over, delight in the included breakfast at the bar of the La Capannina Bathing Establishment in Portonovo.

The basilica of St. Francis, completed in 1235, stands on Paradise Hill, from which it dominates the surrounding landscape. Its imposing Gothic-style figure houses the works of some of Italy's greatest painters. Cimabue, Martini, Lorenzetti and Giotto, to name a few, have enriched this place and told the story of St. Francis through their works. This one is more slender, and much light filters through the colorful, historiated stained-glass windows. The contrast with the previous spaces is great and moves from the recollection of faith to the joy and splendor of God's glory. The play of colored light is interwoven with the frescoes that tell the story of the life of St. Francis created by Giotto. All this beauty is narrated and made even more fascinating and understandable by the guide who passionately accompanies the discovery of this authentic gem. The tour ends at the Upper Basilica, in the heart of Assisi. It is then possible to continue visiting the city independently, venturing through its streets and discovering its origins and most significant monuments.

In Recanati, a few steps from the home of Giacomo Leopardi, the Orto sul Colle dell’Infinito is the vegetable garden of an ancient monastery and the site where the poet set his famous poem L’Infinito in 1819. Following a long restoration, it is today possible to stroll around and take a seat in this place. The garden is the last leg of a “guided tour” inside the poem, a tour that invites the visitor, through immersive projections and engaging experiences, to rediscover the meaning of the few short lines, masterpieces of Italian culture.
