Meet your private guide in your hotel's lobby at your preferred time in Beijing. Then heading directly to Mutianyu Great Wall which will take about 1.5 hours, your tour guide will explain the related histories and stories on the way, sit back and enjoy the countryside sceneries along the way. Once arrive at the The Mutianyu Great Wall, you’ll take the cable car or ski lift up to the Wall, spend some time to hike up and down for about 1.5 hours at the various sections of the Wall, exploring the watch and beacon towers. Afterwards, stop at a local restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, continue to explore a well-preserved royal garden: the Summer Palace. Follow your tour guide to stroll around the garden, learn the stories and histories behind the buildings. Get to know the famous " Dragon Lady" and her life in the Summer Palace. After the tour finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel or other sites you want to go in Beijing city.

Meet in front of Summer Palace East Gate (or your Beijing downtown hotel's lobby if you choose the private tour). Then start your adventure at Summer Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site. (If you want a different start time--for private tour please let us know we will try our best to arrange) During your journey, your guide provides a historical overview of the landmark, which was built in 1750 as a royal residence and is widely considered a masterpiece of Chinese landscape design. Once you arrive at the Summer Palace, follow your guide to enter from the East Gate of the palace and visit some of the most important buildings, such as the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity, the Long corridor, the marble boat, the hall of Happiness and Longevity and more. Then you will travel back to the middle of the Summer Palace, continue with a visit to the Hall of Dispelling Clouds, which is situated on the central axis of Longevity Hill and is the heart of a succession of buildings used for celebrations. Admire the Tower of Buddhist Incense and other buddhist buildings. Your tour will ends at the north gate of the Summer Palace, after the tour you can choose to explore the Summer Palace on your own or travel back to your hotel by subway or by private car.

After being picked up from your Beijing Downtown hotel(for private tour) or meet at the meeting point (for small group tour), you will begin exploring at the Tian’anmen Square. Use the convenient fast track entry, stroll through the massive square with your tour guide. Feel free to ask questions if you have. Next, heading to the Great Wall at Mutianyu section. During the 1.5 hours drive, your tour guide will explain the related histories and stories. Stop at the local restaurant for an authentic countryside style lunch. Upon arrival at Mutianyu, follow your tour guide to take either the cable car or ski lift up to the Wall which will save you valuable time, marvel at this world's longest manmade project, hike up and down with your tour guide to explore different watch towers, climb up to the tower to find out how military signal were send back in the past. Take as many photos as you like, after 1.5 hours hike, you will descend by ski lift/cable car or take the fun toboggan.(it might stop if it is raining) Then, you will be transferred back to your hotel/meeting point in Beijing.

Summer Palace is the most beautiful royal garden in China which is consist of three parts: political center, living quarter and garden, same design as the Forbidden City. But the garden takes up 3 quarters of the whole palace, huge artificial lake, longest wooden corridor painted with 14,000 paintings. 14:30: your guide will meet you at the eastern palace gate, you can get a taxi to this meeting point. You also can take the subway to reach the meeting point. You guide will meet you beside the lions standing in front of the big gate. 14:30-15:00: Your guide will show you the Hall of benevolence and longevity. Share interesting stories of Dragon lady Cixi and the design of this layout under Chinese Feng-shui. 15:00-15:30:your guide will take you to a secret garden hidden in the corner of the Summer Palace which emperor Qianlong loved to spend leisure time with his mother most. Your guide will share the art of Chinese gardens with you. 15:30-16:00: your guide will show you the Hall of happiness and longevity which is the living quarter for dragon lady Cixi. Share her life stories with you, you will know why she was capable to be real ruler, even emperor was under her control. How luxurious her life was. 16:00-16:30: your guide will show you the beautiful garden with huge artificial lake, artificial hill and longest wooden corridor in the world. 16:30-17:30 Walk beside the lake to the living quarters for emperor Guang Xu and his empress. Why an ambitious young emperor became a prisoner, why his favorite concubine was killed by dragon lady Cixi, and what is the true cause of emperor’s death. 17:30 You will end the tour at the meeting point. Your guide will assist you to find the subway station or get you a taxi.

You will be picked up from your Beijing downtown hotel lobby, hop into your private vehicle heading directly to Mutianyu Great Wall.
