Full description

About an hour and a half drive south of Metro Manila lies the picturesque City of Tagaytay. Located on a ridge 2,200 feet above sea level, it offers a panoramic view of Taal Lake and Volcano - a lake within a volcano. This awe-inspiring vista is best savored atop the Palace in the Sky - resthouse of former President Ferdinand Marcos. Explore Tagaytay’s freshest produce with a farm tour. See how vegetables, herbs, and coffee beans are grown and harvested. Savor this awe-inspiring vista from atop the Palace in the Sky, the abandoned “rest house” of the former President of the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos, where you can find breathtaking views of the lake and volcano.

Enter the Museo Orlina Art Museum and take the chance to view an extensive collection of glass sculptures by renowned glass sculptor, Ramon Orlina. The tour includes lunch in one of the local restaurants where you can enjoy sumptuous Philippine cuisine and delicacies popular to the region. We took the Tagaytay Ridge tour for a chance to get and see some beyond Metro Manila . It was a good day with an interesting variety of activities. We enjoyed seeing the ex-Marcos Palace and the views of the volcano in the lake were lovely. Then we stopped for a delicious lunch at Max's Restaurant. Finally, the visit to the church with the bamboo organ was also very interesting. We were lucky too, as there was a wedding that afternoon so were got to hear the organ played. Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and polite. All-in-all it was a great day out.

Wonderful!

The tour to Tagaytay was wonderful, there were great views, but the guide, Rolando Javelona made it even better. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and even purchased fruits for us to try. He also was very accommodating to our tastes in food for lunch. The driver Tonton also did a great job, as traffic in Manila is horrendous! He navigated the traffic in an expert manner, I would recommend this tour with my eyes closed.

Beautiful views of the lake. Shopping!

We had a gorgeous view of the lake from our restaurant at lunchtime. Even had guitar serenaders. Our tour included the Bamboo Organ, Jeepney factory, coffee shop. Tour guide even bought us bananas, pineapples and coconut juice for refreshments. Was able to shop at the top of the mountain - great deals on souvenirs. Wish I bought more!
