It is highly-venerated in Burma and central to many people's lives, as it is seen as an expression of representing the Buddha's life. Mandalay is a major arts and crafts center. Therefore you will also visit a Kalaga tapestry craftsmen shop, located near Maha Myat Muni Pagoda. Continue your sightseeing tour to the Golden Palace Monastery, a spectacular example of traditional Burmese wood work. Witness the Kuthodaw Pagoda, the world's largest book made of 729 marble slabs, on which the entire Theravada Buddhist Pali Canon is inscribed. Finish your day with a scenic walk up to Mandalay hill to see a picturesque sunset. Once finished your guide will take you back to your accommodation in Mandalay.
