On this 4-hour tour you will discover the history of the rubber boom in Brazil and learn about the process of collecting rubber at the Vila Paraíso Rubber Museum. You will begin this exciting tour of the Vila Paraíso Rubber Museum with a visit to the waterfront warehouse, where you can see how the rubber is labeled and shipped to various places around the world. The beautiful architecture of the Rubber Master House shows the wealth of Brazilian rubber plantations during the industry boom.
The tour continues with a visit to the “Large Tent”, where all the rubber-making tools are kept. Here you will see the “chapel” and the flour warehouse. You will walk along a short trail into the jungle to see the rubber trees and witness the process of collecting the rubber from the bark of these trees. See where the rubber balls were placed to begin the smoking process.
On the final stop of the tour you will visit the modest houses where the rubber extraction employees live. Before returning to your hotel you will stop at Tupé Beach, where there might be a possibility for a quick swim.
