Full description

Located in the north of Brazil, Manaus is the capital of the Amazon. It is one of the most important places of departure to explore the Amazon Rainforest, the world’s richest and most-varied biological reservoir, and contains several million species of insects, plants, birds, and other forms of life. After pick-up from your hotel in Manaus, the tour will visit some important landmarks in the city, such as The Amazon Opera House (also known as The Amazon Theatre). Inaugurated in 1896, it is a historical landmark that currently accommodates the Amazonas Philharmonic and plays host to the annual Amazonas Opera Festival. The Indian Museum is the biggest museum of Brazilian indigenous history and houses more than 3,000 pieces made by Amazonian tribes. After your tour, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Manaus.

Das einzige Problem war die Abholung vom Treffpunkt. Ich hatte ein Bild vom Treffpunkt dem Veranstalter geschickt, aber keine Rückmeldung bekommen. Wir warteten um 9:30 Uhr vergebens. Zwei Guys von einem anderen Veranstalter brachten uns zum Treffpunkt außerhalb des Hafens. Die Rundfahrt war schon nach 2 h beendet, ohne die Oper von innen gesehen zu haben. Wir haben uns beschwert und dann ging es weiter. Wir haben dann auch noch MUSA besucht. Die Guys haben sich große Mühe gegeben.

Ein sehr dynamischer Guide führte uns überraschend in einer privaten Tour in Oper, an den faszinierenden Markt über die Grosse Brücke und an den Strand von Manaus. Wir haben viel über die Stadt aber auch das Leben der Menschen hier erfahren. Unser Guide war auch schon in der Schweiz und ist ein Sparchentalent. Er setzt sich auch für seine Gäste durch, wenn ein Restaurant schon gut besucht ist und es kaum Platz hat. Wir finden es lohnt sich über GetYourGuide zu buchen, weil hier die Qualität und Preis/Leistung für uns bisher immer stimmte.
