This was a great introduction to the Amazonia region & culture. Great value for the money. I would have loved to trek through the jungle but that was a part of another tour package. Transportation was excellent! Instead of piling multiple people in one bus, people were picked up in small groups and driven to the port.

Pick-up: fantastic. Exactly on schedule. Sticking to itinerary: almost. We didn't "switch to canoes and enter the waterway for dolphin observation and to visit the famous Victoria Regia water lilies," but did see the dolphins and water lilies elsewhere. Perhaps the rainstorm in the afternoon caused the change of schedule. Explanations: delivered in Portuguese, Spanish, and English (my language). Explanations could have been lengthier and provided more detail. Lunch: great buffet. Pay extra for your drinks. Wildlife: saw dolphins, birds, monkeys, iguanas. No eagles or jaguars (wasn't expecting to). Souvenirs: three souvenir stops (same time as other activities) is a bit tiresome. Similar/same crafts at each and the Mercado in Manaus. Drop-off: I declined, to walk to something nearby instead.

Picked up and dropped off at the hotel was good. The guide is excellent. Once he knew that I was by myself. He introduced me to the group and said that I will not be alone as but I have all other in the group. Made some friends in the group. The January lake is great especially where the 2 rivers meet.
