It was a great tour with Novica, quite experienced and knowledgable guide. He was quite flexible for the group needs regarding shorts stop between destinations, music in the car and creation for psychological environment. He was also very helpful during the lunch at the traditional Serbian restaurant, advised us about the meals, which was a huge help for group members with different eating habits. I initially booked on the best of east tour but was offered the western Serbia tour instead due to numbers. So I didn't do this one. Full description

Start with pickup from Belgrade at 8:00 AM. Travel to the first stop, Manasija Monastery, which was built in the 15th century by Serbian ruler, Stefan Lazarevic. Discover one the most significant medieval monuments in Serbia known for its artistic, cultural and historical value. Explore the monastery which is surrounded by magnificent towers of the medieval fortress.

Continue to Resava Cave, one of the oldest and largest caves in Eastern Europe. Explore the interior of the 80 million-year-old cave which measures approximately 4.5 kilometers in length. See numerous and magnificent halls, channels, galleries, columns, stalactites, stalagmites, draperies and flowstone waterfalls.

Finally, make a final stop at the Lisine waterfall which is over 20 meters high and is one of the highest and most impressive waterfalls in Serbia.

Before returning to Belgrade, enjoy free time for lunch in a restaurant near the waterfall. Make sure to try the homegrown trout.

The dress code is casual but please cover shoulders and knees when entering the Manasija monastery
The temperature in Resava cave is 7°C (45°F) so a jacket is required
For the shared group option, minimum is 4 persons on the tour and if you are less persons, you will be informed before the trip and offered a choice between joining another group, booking private tours (depending on availability), or canceling the tour with no fees applied
