Full description

Cross to the tiny island of Gozo to enjoy a 10-hour sightseeing tour of the sister island of Malta. Drive to Xlendi Bay, a popular beach and an ideal diving site. Tour the fishing village and harbor, where fishing vessels bob. Your next stop is the historic fortified city of The Citadella in the heart of Victoria. Also called The Citadel, it is on Malta's tentative list of future UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and contains an old prison within the city walls. Stop for a buffet lunch in Rabat, before seeing the Ta' Pinu Basilica, close to the village of Gharb. Finally, drive to Mgarr Port via Qala Belvedere, where breathtaking scenes await.

The entire promised program was offered. Unfortunately, there were always waiting times of up to 25 minutes during transport, but that was put aside. Our guide really told us a lot of things and questions were expressly allowed. Since she told everything first in English and then again in German, many things were easier to remember. It's a shame that the excavation site wasn't part of the program, it should still be there, dear organizing team.

Excellent day - far better than we expected it to be The highlight for us was the Citadel where we would have liked another 30 minutes at least to look around the museum on a little more detail than we could. When we return to Malta next year we will be heading to Gozo for a full day at Victoria Rabat and a half day visit to the Citadel at least
