Beautiful caves, 37 m deep, however you can visit the whole thing within max 20 min. Still worth the cost of ticket (we paid $22 CAD each). Even-though it was above 40 degrees heat outside, it’s very comfortable and fresh inside. The caves are in the hills but we taxied from the cruise terminal and it cost us only 8 euros (about 7 min drive). From there we took the city bus to city center (2 euros each) and about 25 min drive.

I walked to the Caves from my hotel. Beautiful area and I loved the whole experience at the caves. The family who run the caves are so welcoming. It feels like a hidden gem somewhat off the tourist trail. The caves aren't massive but are all you need to be impressed. Would definitely recommend.

Greatly enjoyed exploring the caves and I found I liked the self guided aspect , if you prefer guided tours may not be as much to your taste. The humidity coupled with the extensive stairs can make it a little hard to breathe, so take care if you are vunerable to breathing problems (although there are various emergency buttons in the cave) Also the man who dealt with my ticket was very polite.
