Full description
Travel through the history, culture, and cuisine of Mallorca on this tour, accompanied by a local guide. After getting picked up from your hotel, begin your journey along the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your first stop will be the Hermitage of Valldemossa, a fascinating chapel where you can admire panoramic views of the area. Enjoy a short 10-minute walk to reach the chapel and be rewarded for your efforts with a sample of freshly-baked ensaimada, a traditional Mallorcan desert. Then, leave Valldemossa behind and head to the Miramar Monastery, a monastery which was converted into a summer house for Archduke Luis Salvador and his illustrious guests. First, visit the old mill, before continuing to the Archduke's living residence. Here, admire extravagant interiors and discover legends of the impressive Byzantine Gardens as you admire the views of the sea. Finish your tour of the monastery with a sample of Quelitas crackers with cheese, a daily delicacy for most Mallorcans. Finally, head to the Sóller Olive Oil Mill, located in a traditional Mallorcan house. Enjoy a private tour of the premises from one of the owners, learn about the family business and the olive oil production process, as well as orange harvesting. End the day with a traditional Mallorcan lunch of "pa amb oli", including local rustic bread, tomatoes, olives, cheese, ham, and olive oil. For dessert, enjoy a Gató, a typical almond cake from the island. Sip on wine, water, and delicious freshly squeezed orange juice as you savor your lunch before heading back to your hotel.

Everything went as planned (contact the day before, hotel pick-up, circuit, visits, meals….) Our guide Birgit was really excellent and she explained the history of what we were visiting well and she has been able to transmit to us the authenticity of life on Majorca. Although the tour is in English language, we managed to understand everything. She took the time to answer all of our questions. The different visits are very rich and complementary. The visit to the olive oil factory is exciting and the owner took the trouble to meet us. We finished with the traditional meal of bread, olive oil, cheese and ham using only local products: a real treat!

The tour was just great. Small groups, very informal. Recommended for anyone who loves to discover the beauty of Mallorca far away from tourist hotspots and learn something about the compatriots. Birgit (tour guide) is a very likeable and open-minded person. She speaks several languages fluently & was happy to answer any questions that came up. There was something exciting for everyone, whether it was information about the most important historical events, the breathtaking views, details about olive oil production or the little delicacies of the island. All in all a more than successful tour and to be recommended for everyone! 5 out of 5 stars!

This tour is a must do!!!! I had an incredible time and I would absolutely do it again! First let me say that Birgit, the guide was my fav. A ball of energy! So positive, fun, informative, cheerful, you can tell she loves her job and I didn’t want to stop hanging out with her. She’s amazing!!!!! As for the tour itself, wow … I was blown away by the incredible views. All the destinations were beautiful and even the drive to each destination had me in awe because the scenery is to die for! Oh and Birgit had a little surprise for us (Mallorcan traditional pastry) which was soooooo yummy! N the olive oil experience was pretty cool. I loved learning about the process of making olive oil and supporting the locals … P.S. make sure you taste the orange juice. It was the BEST OJ I ever had in life. Definitely recommend this tour!
