Visit UNESCO-listed Malacca on a day trip from Kuala Lumpur. See where Malaysia began on the Straits of Malacca. Gaze upon the ruins of St. Paul’s Church (closed every Monday) and Red Square (Christ Church closed every Monday), the pink Dutch administrative buildings that now house the Malacca Museum and government offices. The KL Tower, also known as the Menara Kuala Lumpur, is one of the most iconic sights in Kuala Lumpur. Visible from most parts of the city and measuring 1,381-feet-high (about 452 meters), it's one of the world's tallest telecommunications towers. With your admission ticket, visit whenever is convenient for you during operating hours. Take one of the high-speed elevators to the fully enclosed Observation Deck, located 905-feet (about 276 meters) above ground level, to enjoy a panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur. Enjoy admission to the XD Theater for a 6D-movie experience, at your own expense. Watch the movie while seated in a specially-designed armchair that moves in-sync with the film. There are typically 8 movies you can watch, each running for about 5 minutes.

Depart Kuala Lumpur or Petaling Jaya at your chosen time (09:00 or 14:00) and journey towards Batu Caves, passing through Little India and the Brickfields neighborhood, known for its colorful streets and unique shops. After a 30-minute scenic drive, arrive at the Batu Caves to discover the home of Hindu shrines and various religious deities. Listen as your driver cum guide explains the Hindu roots of the nation and climb the 272 steps to the golden statue of Lord Murugan. Continue to Chinatown to enter the site of dozens of restaurants and food stalls tended by Chinese, Indian, Malay, and Bangladeshi traders. Watch as they serve up local favorites, such as curry noodles, Hokkien mee (a Fujian noodle dish), ikan bakar (barbecued fish), and asam laksa (a sour, fish and tamarind-based soup). Next, see the stunning National Mosque of Malaysia (Masjid Negara), set in 13 acres of beautiful gardens. Admire the bold approach taken by its architects, who designed it in the late 1950s as a symbol of the aspirations of the newly independent nation.
