I booked this day trip for my family and I, and we were really glad that we did. The whole trip from beginning to end was memorable and perfectly organized. Our tour guide Trista was a great factor in making this trip a succes, she is enthusiastic, her English is fluent and she is knowledgeable about Bromo and the surrounding area. Full description

The trip will start around midnight as your guide will pick you up directly from your desired pick up location. Feel free to take a nap in the car as you drive towards Mount Bromo. From there, you will continue the journey in a 4WD Jeep, going through a bumpy road to get to Mount Penanjakan.

Accompanied by a sip of coffee to warm the night while waiting for the sun to emerge from its hideout. Your guide will keep you entertained so expect great stories about the history of the region and interesting information about the features of the landscape, all with a great sense of humor.

Nothing could describe once you witness the astonishing Sunrise at the top of Mount Penanjakan summit and revealed the hidden landscape of Mount Bromo surrounding. Your guide will act as your personal photographer for the day and help you to get some great insta-worthy shots in the unrivaled Mount Bromo Landscape. A truly sight to behold

Driving down the hill, you will pass the vast sea of sand, resulting from the eruption of Mount Bromo, in a 30 minute-easy track all the way to the peak. From the crater rim, you can see the active Bromo crater, caldera and the mountainous views of Mount Batok and the highest mountain on Java Island, Mount Semeru. Also, you can find the Hindu temple reflecting the Majapahit Kingdom's history.

To complete the day, you will be driven to the best Lava view restaurant and have yourself a delicious buffet-breakfast before returning to Surabaya or Malang

Trista has been the perfect guide for the tour! She is the kindest soul you could ever meet and very passionate about her job. She speaks very good English and is extremely knowledgeable about the place you are going to visit. Tour is well organized, driver was on time and also took photos for us. There are many coffee breaks and bathroom stops along the way. The climb to the crater requires a little bit of trekking, but there are several points along the stairs where you can stop to rest. There will be some moments during the tour where you will wait for the sunrise with your guide and have a chat together: Trista will for sure make you at ease and tell you about many interesting insights about the region, locals in Bromo and their traditions. Also, I feel like this company is the top of the top: we were the first to arrive to the viewing point reserving our spots and enjoying the surroundings with less people and didn’t get stuck in traffic as other jeeps did. Highly recommend
