Discover the beauty of Venice Lido and the Pellestrina Island at the luxury of your own leisure with a full day bike rental. Glide around the area and visit the Liberty Villas, Malamocco Historical Center, and one of Italy’s oldest golf courses built around an ancient Austrian fortress. Ride your bike to the Saint Nicholas Abbey, home to the traditional thanksgiving mass of the Sposalizio del Mare, also known as the “Marriage of the Sea” and then stop by one of the many beaches and take a dip in the deliciously inviting sea. Head over to Pellestrina Island, just a 10-minute ferry ride away, to see the Mose, a project intended to protect the city of Venice, Italy and the Venetian Lagoon from flooding, as well as the colorful fisherman’s houses.

Total netter Service - wir bekamen Tipps auf eine kleine Landkarte eingezeichnet (zum Mitnehmen). Auch ein Fahrradkorb wurde bereit gestellt. Abends um 18:30 brachten wir die Räder zurück. Es hat uns gut gereicht zum Strand zu fahren, die Räder abzustellen und den radfreien Teil bis zur Spitze am Strand entlang zu laufen. Abends kann man noch gut essen nahe dem Radgeschäft gibt es etliche Restaurants.

The bikes we used were in excellent condition, we sere provided with a map and given advice of place to visit. We have visited Lido Island in Venice before, but not explored it on a bike, we cycled to the northern end of the island and then headed south to Malamocco, which is small but very beautiful. Look out for the Sculpture garden as you approach Malamocco, also head to the beach and admire the Sun shelters on the huge rocks made from driftwood.

Très bonne activité si l’on veut s’évader un peu de Venise, de la foule, et retrouver un peu de nature. Le tour de l’île se fait rapidement mais très agréable à voir, à part les plages qui ne valent finalement pas trop le coup. Le responsable du magasin était très gentil et disponible.
