Full description
Located in the spectacular “La Tabacalera” building, a former tobacco factory built in 1923 and now converted to an imaginative car museum, the Museo Automovilistico in Malaga offers a fantastic combination of history, art, and culture. With this pre-booked entrance ticket, you can choose to explore the museum’s magical collections on your own, or add on an optional guided tour for some professional commentary. Whichever you choose, you will have access to all the collections, divided into themed areas. Walk through the past, present and future of automobile design, including some rare late 19th-century models, and vehicles designed to run on alternative energy sources. Marvel at the stylish cars of the “Roaring ‘20s” and avant-garde cars that were ahead of their time. Not everything is cutting-edge and off-the-wall however. A collection of 9 of the world’s most popular cars through history brings you back to earth, and includes an immaculate Austin Seven, Morris Minor, and 1960s Velorex. Every Sunday at 12:30 you can enjoy the activity “Running the Engines”. Many nice cars, good and interesting information on the signs and also fun with the mannequins' clothes that stood next to it. We walked around by ourselves without a guide. Found a group that was guided (though it was in Spanish) so we were there when they started the engines and lifted the hoods to some cars, but did not understand everything that was told. The youngest son got a little bored as his interest in cars is not as great as the teenager's.

This is a most fantastic museum to visit. People had been telling us to go saying that it was really good but it by far exceeded our expectations. The exhibits - cars and fashions are excellent, the building is superb and the airiness inside makes it very comfortable to walk round. We certainly had a great time and will definitely be taking friends and visitors again. Well organized and very well worth the entrance fee.

    Great exhibition

It was a great exhibition. You can see the development of cars during the years. The historical explanations fit perfectly with waht you are watching. The onloy problem was that the museum closes at 7, I did not know that and the workers nearly left me and my friends inside closing the museum because they did not realized we were still inside hahaah.
