Only real improvement is that not all of the jacks for the headphones worked and better instructions about how to use them when we got onto the bus might have helped. But otherwise— excellent tour information, beautifully timed, and thoroughly enjoyable.

We shared a unique story and experience with the VR tour. The guide explains the journey of Malaga in an authentic way. It was interactive and fun! The only suggestion for improvement was that one of us had a blurry VR. However this could come down to a lot of factors, and not necessarily the issues of the VR equipment. That aside we had a lot of fun 💮

Malaga boasts pretty streets, leafy boulevards, and lush gardens. See the major attractions of this lovely city with a 24-hour Malaga Essential Experience ticket for a hop-on hop-off sightseeing tour or the Malaga Iconic Ticket which also includes entry to the MIMMA and Carmen Thyseen Museum.

With the aid of the tour’s onboard multilingual audio commentary, learn why the Malaga Cathedral is called La Manquita – the one-armed lady! Also, hear all about the old palace fortress and its 2 rings of walls.

On the open-top double-decker bus, enjoy panoramic views of the city as well. You can visit the Alcazaba (entry not included), where you’ll find a museum and pleasant gardens along with breathtaking views. While in the vicinity, stop by Castillo de Gibralfaro for a look at the ramparts and more spectacular views.

  • Red Route: Operates 9:40am - 7:30pm, every 30 minutes. Tour duration: 80 minutes
  • Blue Route: Operates 11:50am - 2pm, every 50 minutes. Tour duration: 60 minutes
  • Green Route: Operates 11:15am - 5pm, every 75 minutes. Tour duration: 60 minutes. Not available on Mondays. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays the last departure will be at 7:10pm
  • The Green Route is served by a minibus and doesn't provide audio commentary
  • The flamenco show is available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 5pm at the Interactive Museum of Music. Hours may vary, please check locally. The Flamenco Jaleo offers availability until full capacity is reached
  • Boat departure times: Every day at 12pm, 1:30pm, 4pm and 5:30pm (included in the Essential ticket only)
  • Picasso's Birthplace Museum: Open 9:30am - 8pm every day. Last access is 15 minutes before the museum closes
  • The Automobile and Fashion Museum (included in the Essential Experience only) will be closed on 5th and 12th June
