Johnson gave us a lovely day tour to Melaka. He spoke good English, was friendly, gave us lots of useful background info and was excellent at gently keeping us well organised! The lunch was varied and tasty. Pick up and drop off were really well organised. One tip: it's probably best to not have anything organised for after the tour. We were about an hour and a half later back than advertised due to particularly bad traffic.

Great time with Johnson. He was fun and made the trip a memorable experience. He’s very knowledgeable and we learned so much about the history of Melaka. Bus was clean and comfortable, driver was very safe. Lunch was good. It’s very hot in Melaka compared to KL so make sure to bring a hat and sunscreen. Plenty of time after lunch for a lot of free time. Overall a great time.

Full description

Visit UNESCO-listed Malacca on a day trip from Kuala Lumpur. See where Malaysia began on the Straits of Malacca. Gaze upon the ruins of St. Paul’s Church (closed every Monday) and Red Square (Christ Church closed every Monday), the pink Dutch administrative buildings that now house the Malacca Museum and government offices. Enjoy authentic local food at lunch. Afterward, see the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, where 3 major doctrines of Chinese belief are worshiped under the same roof. Take a stroll along Malacca’s Jonker Street, which ends by the banks of the Malacca River. Learn about the Malay sultanate, Malacca’s rise as an important trading port and the Portuguese and Dutch influence from the early 16th century.
