Excellent day trip to Luxor. The driver arrived to my hotel exactly on time, and new the roads well. The minibus was comfortable and secure at all time throughout the day with our belongings being kept safe. The tour fits lots of exciting and mesmerising ruins into the day, and offers a lovely rest bite in a local Egyptian restaurant on the Nile. The guide was very knowledgeable and fun, making the whole day's experience thoroughly enjoyable. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to breakup a week's stay in Makadi Bay with a more cultural trip. If interested in Ancient Egypt, you won't regret it!

Full description

In the early morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Makadi Bay in a comfortable air-conditioned minivan and travel to Luxor. Once you arrive in Luxor, you will visit the Karnak Temple, dedicated to the god Amun, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu, representing the Theban Triad. Learn about the history and mythology of this place from your guide. Next, stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Enjoy a short felucca ride and take in the stunning views while crossing to the other side. Head to the West Bank of Luxor to visit the Valley of the Kings, also known as the Valley of the Gates of the Kings. See three tombs in the Valley of the Kings, including the famous Tomb of Tutankhamun. Then, visit the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, considered a masterpiece of ancient architecture. Marvel at its three massive terraces that rise above the desert floor and into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Next, go to the Colossi of Memnon, where you'll see the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. Finish your tour with a boat trip to Banana Island. Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Makadi Bay.

Our driver was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always attentive to our needs and making sure everyone in the car felt comfortable.
