What people are saying about Mahendra Cave

Overall rating

3.8
(10 reviews)

Good value for money, it’s like a hop-on-hop-off bus tour of Pokhara. Cheaper than getting taxi everywhere. You go to all the main stops and are also taken to a restaurant for lunch. Lunch/entry fees not included but not expensive, take an extra 500 rupees minimum for entry fees and my lunch with drink was 350. I was the only westerner on the bus but the guide and driver translated to English and made sure I understood where to go and how to get there. Good amount of time at each stop. It was well organized and efficient, the bus was just a bit cramped. No AC on board but the windows and breeze did the trick. Overall would recommend if you’re a traveller on a budget. I was a bit skeptical at first because of minimal reviews but I’m glad I did it. I saw a lot of Pokhara in the day. And got picked up right from my hostel.

The visit to the first cave was well commented but the site itself was not very impressive. We have seen much better in France. We would have preferred the visit to the Peace Pagoda.

it was great to experience all the different parts and sights of Pokhara. more explanation during the drive about the city would be a good addition. a beautiful city.

It was very pleasant with plenty of time. I already knew one of the day's activities, but I was given an alternative without any problems. Highly recommended.

The price-performance ratio was absolutely right. 8 spots visited, enough time everywhere, punctual onward journey. Also used by Nepalese
