Full description

The north of the island has plenty of beaches, each one more beautiful than the next. The most popular ones among Mauritians and tourists are Trou aux Biches and the long curvy beach of Mont Choisy, which continues from Pointe aux Canonniers to Grand Bay and to the divine Pereybere public beach. In Mauritius, when the north is spoken of, Grand Bay is the first thing that comes to mind. Grand Bay, through sustained development, has become the premier tourist destination of Mauritius. Another picturesque village in the north of Mauritius is Cap Malheureux, with its famous red-roofed church, its view of the northern islands and its important fishing community.

This was our second tour with Ibrahim and he was as fabulous a host and guide as ever. I hadn't appreciated this tour is so focused on beaches, which was entirely my fault but important to know before you book it. The beaches are however beautiful and the trip itself takes you through lots of interesting parts of the north, which is very different from the south.

Ibrahim war ein super Guide! Es war auch dank ihm ein sehr unterhaltsamer Tag. Er hat uns die schön(st)en Strände im Norden gezeigt. Wir sind dort länger geblieben, wo es uns gefallen hat; dort, wo wir früher weiterfahren wollten, sind wir auch früher weiter! Ibrahim hat Tipps gegeben, ist zudem auf Sonderwünsche eingegangen. Zudem hat er mit ganz viel Herz von seiner Heimat berichtet. Da war die eine oder andere Anekdote, mal ein Witz, mal ein Quiz dabei. Es war rundum ein super schöner Tag! Danke Ibrahim! Jeder, der mit Dir den Tag verbringt, ist ein Gewinner!
